Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa is cofounder and director of Golden Bridge Yoga, the premier Kundalini Yoga center in Los Angeles, California, and New York City. In 1972, she was baptized by her spiritual teacher Yogi Bhajan with the Sikh spiritual name “Gurmukh,” meaning “one who helps people across the world ocean.” Since that time, Gurmukh has dedicated her life to fulfilling her namesake. For nearly three decades, students in Los Angeles and from around the world have sought out her classes in Kundalini Yoga, meditation, and pre-and post-natal care, and she currently works closely with the Amrit Davaa World Health Organization to bring much needed medical supplies and attention to orphanages in India, Tibet, and Mexico.
Gurmukh is author of The 8 Human Talents: Restore the Balance and Serenity Within You With Kundalini Yoga and Bountiful, Beautiful, Blissful: Experience the Natural Power of Pregnancy and Birth With Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. She also has three DVDs available, Prenatal Kundalini Yoga and Meditation for Mothers To Be, Postnatal Kundalini Yoga for New Mothers, as well as Kundalini Yoga With Gurmukh. She leads workshops and trains yoga teachers throughout the world, and films Kundalini Yoga for Indian television station, KLM.
