New Organic Kaab Honey Spa Highlights Local Mayan Ingredients

New Organic Kaab Honey Spa Highlights Local Mayan Ingredient. An Organic Kaab Honey Experience using local honey, vanilla and the Chaka tree will soon be offered at the award-wining SE Spa at Grand Velas Riviera Maya. Available starting this November, the treatment (80 min/ $375 USD) is inspired by the ancient practices of the Mayan people in the Yucatan Peninsula.

It starts with a face and body massage that features all-natural honey from the nectar of the Xtabentun flower, which grows only in the Yucatan. A bath elixir made from the medicinal Chaka tree heals the body’s energy. Chaka trees are the antidote to the toxic Chechen trees found in the Mayan jungle. To complete the experience a balm with Mayan vanilla seals the skin. Following the treatment, Energy Bites with superfood ingredients like maca, hemp seeds, chia seeds, cacao, cinnamon, and acai among others are served.

Additional regional treatments at Se Spa at Grand Velas Riviera Maya include the Bacal Massage, using one of the Mayan’s most sacred plants – corn; Mayan Jade Facial; Coffee & Cocoa Experience, an exfoliation and massage with both native Mexican products; Aloe Vera Massage, featuring the Mayan’s “immortality plant” named for its great regenerating life powers; and Úumbal Shawl Massage, a full-body treatment with creative choreography dating back to prehistoric times.
