Project Runway, Featured Designers, Trunkist.com. Can you say – Trunkist.com, a Cut To Order, digital trunk show platform that is redefining the way brands and bloggers launch apparel products, is bringing exclusive designs from Project Runway Season 14 designers directly to consumers.
The capsule collections from select Season 14 designers, including finalist Kelly Dempsey, known for bringing back the fanny pack and her eclectic “street glam” style, as well as Lindsey Creel, Amanda Perna and Duncan Chambers-Watson, will be available for pre-order starting December 7th on Trunkist.com.
Part of the New Branders, the new media stars who are extending their brands beyond a blog, an Instagram profile or a reality show, these Project Runway designers are collaborating with Trunkist.com to bring their designs directly to fans. Trunkist.com provides the tools and resources to brands looking to produce one of a kind garments without incurring the high costs usually associated with introducing a collection.
Highlights include:
Kelly Dempsey, “Get in the Groove”: Straight from September’s #NYFW Runway, the hometown Boston girl “Kelly from the Deli” and founder of Rack Addik (#teamfannypack) is selling exclusive pieces from the runway on Trunkist.com. Made from her iconic wood print spandex, the collection includes the “Stick Together” Sheath and “Knock On Wood” Crop Top with mesh panel details shown at NYFW, as well as the new “Branch Out” Legging.
Lindsey Creel,”For You, Love M.E.”: Clean, Comfortable and Classic are the key inspirations for M.E. Shirley, Lindsey’s Austin, TX based brand since late 2012. For the exclusive capsule, Lindsey is designing her go-to trio of transitional clothing to layer through the seasons: an effortless “Edith” chambray Maxi dress; a classic, cropped button up “Lawton” shirt in a versatile multi-colored stripe; and the “Esme” Jacket in a lightweight indigo linen with three quarter sleeves and a flattering, slightly oversized fit.
“Trunkist has given M.E. Shirley the ability to reach more customers with their pre-order platform. We are thrilled to be working with the talented group at Trunkist,” said Creel.
Amanda Perna, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”: Designing under the House of Perna Studio with exclusive prints for her Trunkist collection, the South Florida-native created a capsule of styles that reflect her brand’s feminine style and whimsical, bold designs. Featuring “The Scarlette” open flutter back A-line dress mixing playful prints with an invisible side zipper; “The Claudette” versatile faux wrap pant with a bright floral print and hot pink underlay; and “The Maisie” polka dotted flutter top with contrasting bright floral binding and an open back, the collection brings a splash of fun to any girl’s wardrobe.
Duncan Chambers-Watson, “Detour” for Men: Seen on Project Runway creating directional menswear design, the New Zealand native now living in NYC, has created a capsule collection of tailored directional menswear that combines his background in tailoring with urban deconstructionism. Made for every day wear, his capsule features modern Tailored Denim Pants with satin edge and gusseted pocket; a faux pocket black Tailored Denim Jacket with raw sleeves, satin stripe detail and double back vent; and a crisp white modern Tailored Shirt with a two piece fitted sleeve, western style placket and distressed edged short cuff.
We are thrilled to work with these inspirational and talented designers from Project Runway Season 14, said Dustin Hindman, Founder and CEO of Trunkist.com. “Our team is carefully crafting, sourcing and producing each designer’s look to meet their unique specifications and price points and help them expand their brands beyond Season 14. Trunkist’s Cut To Order digital trunk show platform allows customers to pre-order these limited edition apparel products, and is proud to produce ‘fashion without waste’ for every collection.”
