When Family Life Becomes the Blueprint for Innovation
Some technology companies begin with corporate strategy sessions and investor presentations. MoR Essential Technologies found inspiration much closer to home.
For founder and CEO Temne Hardaway, everyday experiences involving her grandmother, mother, son, sister, uncle—and even three energetic Chihuahuas—became inspiration for developing technology designed to solve real-life problems.
What started with family conversations and everyday challenges has evolved into an ecosystem of five AI-powered applications spanning wellness, productivity, faith, pet care and communication.
“My family accidentally became my focus group,” Hardaway says. “Every holiday dinner seems to create another app idea.”

Behind the humor is an increasingly relevant technology story: innovation does not always have to begin with complicated ideas. Sometimes the best technology starts by observing what people actually need.
Five Apps Inspired by Real People
MoR Essential Technologies has developed five platforms, each designed around a different part of everyday life:
- MyScanPlan: Food, nutrition, skin and personal wellness insights
- Knowly AI: Information, documents and productivity assistance
- PraysHIM: Faith, prayer and spiritual-development tools
- MyPetScan: Pet wellness, behavior and care support
- Languagely: AI-powered communication coaching
Together, the platforms demonstrate how artificial intelligence can move beyond a single chatbot or productivity tool and become integrated into different areas of daily living.
MyScanPlan: Connecting Food, Skin and Wellness
Hardaway’s 96-year-old grandmother helped inspire MyScanPlan, a wellness platform created to help users better recognize patterns involving what they eat and how they feel.
The application incorporates food, menu, label and barcode scanning alongside personalized nutrition insights, hydration tracking, skin wellness analysis and product tracking.
An aesthetician close to Hardaway also encouraged her to consider the relationship between lifestyle and skin wellness. That input helped influence the platform’s expanding Skin Hub, bringing together skin analysis, nutrition, product use and progress tracking.

The application also includes a Creator Studio designed to help food and wellness creators develop content.
Knowly AI: Making Information Easier to Understand
Sometimes people do not need more information—they need a faster way to understand the information already in front of them.
Hardaway’s son helped inspire Knowly AI, an AI-powered assistant developed around that idea.
Knowly can help summarize articles, analyze documents, contracts, lectures and videos, translate text and assist users with responses. Content can also be shared directly from a phone for analysis.
Knowly AI:

The platform also incorporates tools for working with PDFs, making it particularly relevant for users who want AI-supported productivity and document assistance. Apple identifies Temne Adah Hardaway as the developer of both Knowly AI and MyScanPlan.
Technology Meets Faith With PraysHIM
Family experiences also influenced PraysHIM, an application centered on faith and spiritual development.
The platform incorporates prayer support, Bible study, sermon notes, faith vision boards, spiritual-growth tools and community features.

The concept demonstrates another side of today’s app economy: technology can be designed not only around business productivity, but also around people’s personal values, daily routines and communities.
Even the Family Pets Inspired an App
Then came Hardaway’s mother—and her three lively Chihuahuas.
Watching the daily realities of pet ownership helped inspire MyPetScan, an AI-powered pet wellness platform.
The application incorporates food analysis, personalized pet profiles, mood and behavior insights, wellness tracking and training information. It also includes a Pet Content Creator Studio and resources related to pet grief and loss.
MyPetScan:

The current App Store listing describes MyPetScan as an AI-assisted pet wellness and training tool designed to help users monitor patterns involving behavior, mood and everyday care.
Languagely Tackles Something Every Family Understands
Technology can organize schedules and analyze information, but could it also help people communicate more effectively?
Experiences involving family members, teenagers, coworkers, relationships and co-parenting helped inspire Languagely, an AI communication coach.
The application is designed to help people think through communication across family relationships, friendships, professional environments, dating and co-parenting.

In an age when so much communication happens through texts, emails and digital platforms, tools designed to help people communicate with greater clarity may represent another growing category for artificial intelligence.
Turning Five Apps Into a Creator Economy
Hardaway’s vision is now moving beyond developing applications.
Through the MoR Creator Network, the company wants creators, influencers, affiliates and community builders to participate in its growing technology ecosystem.
The concept allows participants to select MoR applications that fit naturally with their audiences and potentially earn recurring commissions from qualifying subscriptions they generate.
Hardaway’s message is compelling: people do not necessarily have to build technology to participate economically in technology.
“You don’t have to build the technology to earn from the technology,” she says. “If you’ve built trust with a community, that has value too.”
For creators who may never consider becoming software developers, an affiliate and creator ecosystem provides another potential entry point into the expanding AI economy.
Family, Technology and What Comes Next
Perhaps the most fascinating part of the MoR Essential Technologies story is where the ideas originated.
A grandmother inspired wellness innovation. A son influenced productivity technology. Faith conversations became an app. A mother and her dogs inspired pet technology. Everyday communication challenges created another platform.
Together, those experiences became five AI-powered products connected by one central philosophy: build technology around real life.
As artificial intelligence continues transforming industries, MoR’s family-inspired approach offers an important reminder that innovation does not always begin in a laboratory.
Sometimes it begins around the dinner table.
And for Hardaway, the next family conversation just might inspire app number six.
