Dubai, UAE, 17 October 2023: The second edition of Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) came to a triumphant close on Sunday, wrapping up a seven-day extravaganza of fashion, creativity, and culture. With over 25 shows featuring designers from around the world, DFW solidified its status as a global fashion platform. Here are the highlights of the grand finale:
Rizman Ruzaini’s Dazzling Debut:
- Malaysian designer duo Rizman Nordin and Ruzaini Jamil wowed the audience with a collection of 60 exquisite looks inspired by the legendary dragon, Seri Gumum.
International models, including Tinie and Deedee Nash, graced the runway in designs adorned with thousands of glistening gemstones.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell made her Dubai Fashion Week debut, closing the show in a magnificent handmade gown that left the audience in awe.
The collection featured a rich color palette spanning turquoise, rose gold, burnt orange, and more, with traditional Malaysian Songket weaving paying homage to the nation’s heritage.

Michael Cinco’s Spanish Elegance:
- Michael Cinco’s collection celebrated the vibrant spirit of Spanish culture, taking inspiration from flamenco dancers and matadors.
The collection featured a vivid color palette and sophisticated embellishments, including oversized epaulettes adorned with sparkling stones.
Bold fiery red and black blazers, intricate capes, and pleated fabrics showcased the essence of Spanish heritage and Mediterranean architecture.
The designs maintained elegance, symmetry, and firm architectural lines throughout the show.

DFW’s Global Impact:
- DFW, co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3) and Arab Fashion Council (AFC), showcased designers from Europe, the US, Central America, Asia, and the region.
Event partners Kiko, Lavazza, and Nothing engaged visitors with pop-up installations and activities.
International and regional buyers interacted with designers, reinforcing Dubai Fashion Week’s status as a global fashion platform and Dubai’s fashion capital.
