Brandy and Monica Unite for First-Ever The Boy Is Mine Tour A Cultural Milestone 25 Years in the Making

R&B icons Brandy and Monica are set to make history this fall as they join forces for The Boy Is Mine Tour, their first-ever co-headlining arena tour. Officially announced today on CBS Mornings, the tour pays homage to their groundbreaking 1998 duet while marking a powerful new chapter in their legendary careers. The 24-city run, produced by the Black Promoters Collective, kicks off this fall and will include a highly anticipated stop at the iconic Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on Saturday, November 9.

More than just a tour, this is a generational celebration of legacy, unity, and vocal brilliance. Their hit single “The Boy Is Mine” dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 consecutive weeks in 1998, placing the duo among chart royalty alongside Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Now, over two decades later, they’re uniting not only for fans who grew up with their music, but for a new generation inspired by their story of resilience and reinvention.

Joining them on stage is a stellar lineup of special guests:

  • Kelly Rowland, GRAMMY-winning singer and original member of Destiny’s Child

  • Muni Long, chart-topping songwriter and GRAMMY winner known for “Hrs & Hrs”

  • Jamal Roberts, rising star and winner of American Idol Season 23

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 27 at 10:00 AM local time through Ticketmaster, with presale access on June 26 using code BPC.

The tour follows Brandy and Monica’s surprise appearance in Ariana Grande’s viral “the boy is mine” video, and their joint remix earned them a GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance—25 years after their first win. Their reunion marks a full-circle moment, filled with grace, respect, and artistic growth.

Why This Tour Matters:

  • Cultural legacy: Celebrating a hit that shaped ’90s R&B and remains iconic across generations

  • First joint tour: Despite collaborating for decades, this marks Brandy and Monica’s first shared tour

  • Genre-spanning talent: Featuring powerhouse women and rising voices across R&B and pop

  • A celebration of sisterhood: Amplifying the strength and unity of Black women in music

“This is a celebration of where we’ve come from and who we’ve become,” said Brandy. “Sharing this stage with Monica again isn’t just about music—it’s a tribute to growth, legacy, and the fans who’ve stood by us.” Monica added, “We’re giving the people what they’ve been waiting for—done with love, strength, and purpose. God’s timing aligned us.”

The tour will feature a live band, dynamic stage production, and emotionally charged performances that blend nostalgia with modern flair. The event will open with a mini-movie directed by Ethan Tobman, the acclaimed visionary behind cinematic visuals for Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, further setting the stage for a night of storytelling and showmanship.

As Brandy and Monica prepare to grace some of the country’s biggest stages, including the celebrated Kia Forum, The Boy Is Mine Tour promises to be more than just a concert. It’s a cultural reunion, a love letter to R&B, and a masterclass in music legacy.
