ROCSI DIAZ Launches New Web Series. The Van Johnson Company, in association with Knitting Factory Entertainment today announced BLOG LIFE, a new web series on RocsiDiaz.com, presented by Emmy award-winning Rocsi Diaz and hosted by up-and-comer Moriah Brown. Diaz, currently serving as an anchor and correspondent for HLN’s “The Daily Share,” has over 3 Million social media followers.
The 5-minute episodes will each focus on a different fashion blogger discussing their influences, families and other interests, as well as how the bloggers got started and what makes a successful blog. The series promises to give viewers a little bit of insight into each guest’s fashion and life style while imparting some advice on how to succeed in the blogosphere.
Kicking off the series on Tuesday, January 26th is actor, musician, Brandiville star, fashion blogger (and big sister to Miley) Brandi Cyrus (StyleNative.com). Cyrus chats about her family’s fashion sense, instagramming on tour with sister Miley, her latest film (Old 37), her competitive equestrian career and of course, her “dirty blogger secret,” a feature of every episode.
“Obviously fashion is one of my passions,” said Diaz, “and the personal blog format is the perfect way to showcase many disparate ways today’s style-conscious youth are exploring their passions. I love Moriah’s energy and curiosity and am looking forward to the rest of the series.”
Shot in Knitting Factory Entertainment’s uber cool North Hollywood watering hole and eatery The Federal Bar, new episodes of the series will launch each Tuesday, with the February 2nd episode featuring pop star and fashion blogger Jessi Malay (MyWhiteT.Com), former lead singer of the American-British all-girl pop group No Secrets. Jessi first began performing as a dancer at the age of two, eventually segueing into a vocal career and by age 14 the Los Angeles native had joined No Secrets. Leaving the band in 2003, Malay started performing under the nickname Jessi Malay and her latest single, Summer Love was released in 2015.
“At its core, Blog Life is a talk show for bloggers and we’re excited about the launch of the series and to be partnered with RocsiDiaz.com,” says Van Johnson, CEO of the Van Johnson Company. “The blogosphere is exploding with new content and we hope to elevate these social influencers and content creators by giving them a platform on which to discuss their sites, lives, styles and new campaigns just as other traditional entertainers and influencers do on day time or late night talk shows.”
“Over the past few years, Knitting Factory has grown into a full 360-degree media company,” said KFE CEO Morgan Margolis, “and our partnership with The Van Johnson Company continues to expand our reach into film, television, new media and theatrical management for actors, writers, directors and producers. We’re looking forward to continued growth in this area in 2016 and beyond.”
