A new survey by Virgin Sport has found that when we set exercise goals for ourselves, working out with friends not only helps us to achieve our objectives, but also cements friendships. Two thirds (66%) of us in fact exercise with a friend to keep us motivated. Which friend is not a decision we take lightly either, with over 40% of us spending this time with someone we’ve known for over 10 years. In fact, 35% of Brits choose to work out in a pair to develop their bond, proving that those who sweat together stay together.
