In 2015, her debut single was released on Capitol titled “Better Than You Left Me.” The song reached the top 40 of the country chart and helped her receive a nomination from the Academy of Country Music Awards.
The same year, her second extended play was released. In 2020, Guyton released the single, “Black Like Me,” which spoke of the George Floyd protests and the Black Lives Matter movement. The song helped further elevate Guyton’s career and has since been nominated in the country category by the Grammy Awards.
