The spa incorporates coffee beans into each slimming treatment as the caffeine helps to tone and tighten the skin. Additionally, coffee stimulates blood flow and improves circulation while the antioxidants in coffee help dispose of accumulated toxins in the layers of the skin. When used on a regular basis, coffee can help improve, reduce and eventually banish cellulite. In addition to coffee, the resort’s spa specialists use safflower oil, honey and pink grapefruit as well as their virgin coconut to mix with the coffee scrub. The coffee beans, virgin coconut oil and honey are local.
Following a relaxing treatment, guests can continue their health-kick with a specially-made green drink or smoothie to be enjoyed at any of the five restaurants or bars on-island or in the privacy of their villa. At Laucala Island, organic produce is grown on a 240-acre hydroponic farm with 15 different types of fruit, 35 varieties of vegetables and more than 50 Fiji Vanilla plants. The indigenous produce makes for fresh and healthy juices that aid in nourishing and ridding the body of toxins.
